Day 1
We arrived in Rome, after long flight and no sleep! The flight was delayed by a couple of hours ... so our arrival at the Leonardo Da Vinci airport was not until noon "Italy time" (which for the next month I guess I should refer to as just time!). Besides being tired, everything has been smooth .... we picked up our rental car ( a little red one!), took a bit of a scenic route to the hotel and picked up Alyssa back at the airport a few hours later. We were also treated to 50% off restaurant prices and a free breakfast tomorrow morning because Matthew is a "team member" ......the perks keep coming!
After breakfast, we will leave for Lerici in Liguria. It will take 4 hours with a pitstop in Port Ercole along the way.
Greg and Graeme have learned their first Italian word..."prego" (which means you're welcome). However, the only issue is that they are using it instead to say "thank you", which is somewhat confusing to the locals (obviously!).
