Day 22
Day 22 - Pescara
So this was a planned day at the beach! All day at the beach (which means no phones/cameras really...and therefore very few pictures....sorry!).
Matthew is going to do the write-up today.....
The day was very simple. It started around 9 am (I think). We walked to the centre of the city of Pescara where their is a big piazza with lots of stores and people. The centre of the city leads to a beach where we spent basically the whole day. I never thought that throughout the trip we would pay for the desirable private beach chairs and umbrella combo....but we splurged today! Mom almost had a ross o meter when the owner tried to rip us off(haha). Throughout the day, Graeme and I played catch with a football in the ocean while also getting crushed by big waves. As well, the whole family (even Graeme surprisingly) read through a lot of pages of our books (thank goodness we found a bookstore that had an English section in it). All in all, the day was very lazy and realaxing (and I guess we could have used one of these kind of days).
Italian word of the day is: scottatura which means sunburn (I bet one of us got one today...)
